The Door is closing…The light fails

One is stopped by ones travails

 

Shadows lengthen in the setting sun

Why indeed does one hope for one?

 

Is this pessimism or is darkness real?

Is the light one seeks that’s unreal?

 

What is the light that can persist?

What is darkness if one can resist?

 

Does life have purpose, does purpose have life

What is unchanged in victory and strife

 

The light is the Self, the Self persists

Purpose is the darkness in which one exists
